Monthly Line-up List: November '17

November 14, 2017

Better late than never… we bring you our picks for November. It’s another stellar month for UK lineups and the epicenter seems to be in Manchester this month, with WHP featuring 3 times! Elsewhere, all night long sets and rare back to back sessions are a plenty. Enjoy!

10th of November

Dekmantel @ WHP, Manchester

It’s been another yet big year for Dekmantel and they returned to Store Street with a stellar line-up. Techno legends Dettman and Robert Hood topped the bill, alongside special live sets from Fatima Yamaha, Tom Trago and Jordash. Hefty line-up with something for everyone, it was a mad night for everyone.

10th of November

Motor City Drum Ensemble Week 3 @ XOYO, London

XOYO have enlisted MCDE as their new resident and he’s put together a brilliant series of parties for the club. On the 10th he brought the familiar voice of Leroy Burgess to Shoreditch, with the disco legend playing a live band set before KC the Funkaholic took over in room 2. In room one, golden girl Jayda G got the party started before the man himself stepped up and took the stage.

11th of November

Jamie xx and Friends @ WHP, Manchester

This one was always set to be special as the illusive Jamie xx returned to Store Street for the first time since WHP moved back, curating a wonderful all day long party. He brought togetherJoy O and Jon Rust in a rare b2b set. The line-up also featured some of 2017’s hottest names, with Young Marco, Josey Rebelle, Beatrice Dillon and Or:la also making the bill. And yes, we were there, so expect a full review in the coming weeks!

Hope Works presents: @ Hope Works, Sheffield

RA put it nicely with ‘It doesn’t get much vibier than this’ as Hope Works brings Midland, Honey D, Rebelle and Shanti C to the Sheffield warehouse. It’s my pick for the month in the midlands, a no brainer if you’re close by!

 18th of November

Feel My Bicep Curates @ WHP, Manchester

The Bicep boys have done it again. After yet another incredible year for the pair following the release of their debut album and successful live tour, they return to Store Street with a stunning lineup. It’s our pick of the month just for the variance in selection, with something for all tastes. Almost as good as last year…

18th of November

Midland & Prosumer All Night at Wasabi Disco @ Sneaky Pete's, Edinburgh

Two of the most skilled and revered DJ’s in house and disco right now come to Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh. Midland comes off the back of a successful fabric94 release and it’s his first time on a bill with Prosumer all year. This is one not to be missed!

18th of November

Young Marco: Dance Music From Planet Earth @ Bloc, London

After seeing this man in Paris earlier this year for an all-night set with Hunee I have no doubt that this night will be incredible. His sets have been all the talk in 2017 due to his carefree style playing everything from Wham’s Last Christmas to Neil Young’s My My Hey Hey. Don’t pass up this chance to see him play all night long at Hackney’s intimate Bloc.

24th of November

Tief Presents 20 Years of Rush Hour @ Corsica Studios, London

Tief come through with a brilliant 20th birthday celebration for Dutch Label Rush Hour. The legendary label has developed into a into a haven for music lovers worldwide, featuring wide ranging releases and acting as a platform for numerous DJ’s to express themselves. The lineup is a big one as it stands (see above) but there’s an unannounced special guest and Corsica have said it’s not who we’re expecting… hmm.

24th of November

FABRICLIVE 95: Mefjus Launch x Critical Sound x Grime 2017 @ fabric, London

Fabriclive come through with yet another showcase of the best in ukg, dub, dnb and grime. The lineup is crammed full of figureheads of each genre, emphasising how the move to a fortnightly fabriclive has benefited programming at the club. Set to be a massive night.

25th of November

Craig Richards B2B Call Super B2B Midland @ fabric, London

Fabric have put together an absolute beauty of a night here. Craig Richards, Call Super and Midland go back to back in room one all night long! The 3 will go head to head drawing on an array of influences to keep the basement bumping. Room two also carries weight with a special live set from Planetary Assault Systems and sets from Berghain resident Function and Russian breakthrough Julia Govor.

26th of November

The Hydra: In Stereo - Daphni and Floating Points @ Ministry of Sound, London

No better place to spend your Sunday than at the illustrious Ministry of Sound in the hands of these two. Both have had an exploratory year, with Daphni focusing more on this alias, releasing a completely original fabriclive in August to critical acclaim. Floating Points has put together a string of well received releases on his numerous labels and released a wonderfully self-composed experimental album. I’m convinced.
